I have posted the report for the 1992 and 1993 season excavations at Tell Halif,
Israel, on the following URL: http://www.cobb.msstate.edu/dig/lahav
There you will see a report organized in the first part on an essentially
graphic-based presentation of ceramic figurines, primarily because their
archaeological context was relatively unimportant to interpretation of them. All
850 were found in the backfill of a robber-trench. Nonetheless, behind the
graphics presentation is a full report of the excavation including stratified Iron
II remains, plans, profiles of the soil layers, interpretations of the
stratigraphy, etc.
The 1999 materials (from a much abbreviated season whose main purpose was to test
our equipment for a "totally digital" season) is also found at that URL under a
separate listing: http://www.cobb.msstate.edu/dig/LRP-1999-01/
Since much of the material of the 1999 season relates directly to the data
from the 1992 and 1993 season, all will be combined on a common report in
a few months.
I hope this will give you something positive to review. Incidentally, I have
posted for private review an experimental display of whole and restored pottery
from the 8th c. BCE. This material is a response to the fact that traditional
publication of pottery in line-drawings only, or at best with low qualith b/w
photos is inadequate for reviewing ceramic finds.
The temporary site for this pottery collection is viewable at

Comments appreciated.
