Dear Dorothy,
Rergarding your request on statistical package, you may find the following
useful.
Statsdirect, developed by a clinician in the UK is a user friendly software
that offers both basic and advanced statistical options. It has functions
with speecific reference to EBM such as NNT, LLR, CIs etc. There is also a
tutorial back up support. The department of Internal Medicine in our medical
school has decided to order three copies from their research budget for
individual clinicians. You can purchase the software on line and download it
from the WWW.
You can also download a trial version to explore what it offers from their
home page at
http://www.statsdirect.com/
Hope this helps.
(I have no financial interests/links in/with Stats Direct)
With warm regards,
Badri
