A Professional Odyssey: Exploring New Spaces
The American Association of Teachers of German invites proposals
for the 2001 annual meeting. The AATG sessions will represent the
diverse interests of association members and reflect a balance
between literary and pedagogical interests.

All presenters must be AATG members. Please submit proposals
no later than January 5, 2001 online, by E-mail, or to the program
chair by regular mail. Proposals sent by fax will NOT be

LENGTH AND TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS:
(Please note that presenters pay a fee for the use of multi-media
equipment)
I. Sessions will be approximately 75 minutes and consist of no
more than three papers per session. All sessions should be
organized ahead of time. The session organizer will submit the
proposal to the program committee and will be responsible for
notifying all speakers in the session about the status of their
proposal.

II. Pre-/Post-Conference Workshops may be 3 hours. Workshops
should focus on practical aspects of teaching German at any/all
levels, should involve participants in carefully structured activities
which help them solve a problem or develop a specific teaching or
research technique. The workshop organizer will submit the
proposal to the program committee and will be responsible for
notifying all speakers in the session about the status of their
proposal.

III.Individual papers of no more than 20 minutes will be considered.
Accepted proposals will be assigned to the appropriate session.
Please submit a cover sheet and a 250-word abstract of your paper.
