Evidence-Based Practice - Electronic Distance Education

We are planning to next run this 10 week course again in
January 2001 (and April 2001). The course starts on 8th
January and we need applications in by the 18th December
2000.
This credit-rated module (M level 5/6) aims to introduce
the principles, methods and applications of Evidence Based
Practice (EBP) to nurses, midwives, health visitors and the
professions allied to medicine. The course is accredited by
the University of Exeter's Continuing Professional
Development programme. The course has five units which
are: 1. Introduction to Evidence Based Practice 2.
Resources for EBP 3. Searching the evidence 4. Appraising
the evidence 5. Applying evidence to practice.
The course units are accessed via the Internet.
