Eric,
I understand that the lists of National Implementing Measures have been
withdrawn from SCADPlus because:
a) they were very out of date
b) there were technical problems with the alignment of the columns
This section of SCADPlus was taken from Celex, whose news page explains that
the National Implementing Measures have not been updated since June 1999
because of technical problems.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Commission's internal
database that records the national implementing measures has been
transferred to new software, and is managed by the Secretariat-General,
which plans to make it available on the Sec-Gen website in the near future.
I am told that statistical data on national implementations of EU directives
will be available on the website within the next month. This will be
followed by a National Implementations database which will show lists of the
actual implementing measures notified to the Commission by the Member
States. After that, I believe that Celex (and possibly SCADPlus?) will be
able to draw on this data in order to get up-to-date again.
Your query also highlights the regrettable lack of information on websites
when changes or technical problems occur - there was no on-site warning that
updating of the section had ceased, and no explanation when it was
withdrawn. But I guess I've said enough on that subject already.
Best regards,
Chris

Colleagues,
SCADPlus appears to have changed recently - the National Implementing
Measures seem to be no longer available. Can anyone throw any light on this
change?
