Wellcome Trust Post-Doctoral Research Associate
Salary: UKP 16775-20465 (Level 2 enhancement).
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position on a new 3-year
research project funded by the Wellcome Trust. The project will investigate
the use of coarse-scale visual information in word recognition and is one of
a number of integrated projects in this lab investigating human visual
language perception.
Applicants should have a PhD in vision science, psychology, neuroscience,
computer science or other relevant discipline, experience in vision or
cognitive research, and proven skills in the computational control of
experiments and visual displays (e.g., C++, Pascal, or Delphi programming).
The successful applicant will join a supportive, well-funded, active group
of researchers from a range of backgrounds and will become involved in all
aspects of the project.
Starting salary will be at an appropriate point on the 1A scale, depending
on qualifications and experience, and will be subject to Wellcome Trust
Level 2 enhancement. Start date is negotiable but January 1st, 2001 would
be ideal.
