Keep going and I am sure if pedestrians used lights at night they would
be safer (personally if I am road running at night I do wear a
reflective Sam Brown and have used bike LEDs too. For years I resisted
using a helmet, hated it when I started using one and now feel totally
naked and vulnerable when not wearing it on a bike you are probably just
not used to it, do it lots and you won't be without it -- bit like not
wearing a seatbelt in a car -- by the way these are said to not show any
benefit at a population level as people adapt their driving habits to
give the same risk, but do benefit an individual having an accident of
course (does anyone have the reference for this?). The same may well be
true of bike hats -- anyone know any stats?
