Overview of Discussion Panels
The Discussion Panels provide a way in which people can contribute to the
dialog surrounding NIDRR's International Disability Studies Conference.
Select a panel title to view discussion questions. To enter the discussion
continue to follow the prompts. The bulletin board discussion panels will be
open from 1 October 2000 until 30 November 2000. Your feedback on the

Discussion Panel 1:
The Emergence of Disability Studies
Discusses the conceptual framework for Disability Studies. Explore existing
data, theoretical issues, research needs, and community-based activities.
Understand the growth of Disability Studies worldwide.

Implementation of Disability Studies Within Post Secondary

Strategies on how to promote a Disability Studies program, obtain resources,
and negotiate organizational barriers in institutions of higher learning.
