Hi. The discussion re TA and previous issues re anatomy raises a few simple
points: 1. it is a broad muscle with complex soft tissue attachments as
mention by a reader. Also, it is of multiple innervated levels. 2. In
bipedal individuals what is the role of the TA -a dynamic apron? 3. How much
force do you expect to generate and where? is it a (meaningful) learned
movement and can you measure it? Do flat muscle behave as multi-pennate, or
fusiform? I think that at times the tendency to isolate or micromanage a
movement is not meaningful.
