Dear List Members,
I am currently looking for references and other
sources of information regarding optimal rest/recovery time following sports
such as soccer requiring maximal exertion. I have several youth players whose
coaches want them to train or play everyday during the Fall Season and I am
arguing against it but would like some scientific basis as it relates to
muscle function and recovery. Obviously, my point is to prevent injury and
help the players perform at their very best.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
