Family Policy: Changing family structures, gender and new risks -
Family and work - The impact of social and economic policies on the

Social Care: Social needs and social care services for priority groups
(elderly and disabled people) - Social care providers and policy-making
structures (state, local authorities, voluntary sector, family) - The
prospects of the newly founded National Organization for Social Care
Health: The Greek National Health System, problems of policy planning

REQUIREMENTS, DEADLINES & WORD LIMITS
The languages of the Conference will be Greek and English (translation
facilities will be available).
The following deadlines apply:
Abstracts: paper proposals accompanied by a very short CV should be
submitted, preferably by email, to the Conference Contact Persons (see
below) by November 30 2000. Maximum word length for abstracts: 300
words. Notification of acceptance of abstract will be sent by the end of
December 2000.
Papers: The deadline for submission of papers is March 15, 2001.
Maximum word length for papers: 8,000 words.
It is intended that a selection of papers will be published in a
collective volume. Participants are, therefore, expected to submit
papers which are not at present under consideration for publication
elsewhere.
TIMETABLE, FEES and EXPENSES
The following timetable applies:
9th May arrival of participants and registration
10th May (morning) opening of the Conference
12th May (evening) closing of the Conference
13th May departure of participants
No fees will be charged for the 1st Conference of ELEPEKP, but
participants will be asked to become members of ELEPEKP and pay the
annual fee (not yet fixed, but approx. 15,000 drs). A number of meals
and the conference reception will be provided free of charge.
Participants however have to cover their traveling costs and
accommodation expenses in Komotini (9-13 May). Accommodation expenses
will amount to approximately 50,000 drs - approx. 90 pounds Sterling -
for four nights (9,10,11,12).
