I will be involved with an internal a working party looking at the
QAA Guidelines for Distance Learning for the benefit and guidance of
any staff at this University who might be thinking of delivering DL
courses. I was present at an OLF meeting in May 1999 when a
representative from QAA presented the completed document.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has been through the
process of examining these guidelines and in particular any comments
or views which might have arisen either from a similar exercise or
simply through reading through the QAA's document. In case anyone has
not seen it, the QAA document can be found at:
http://www.qaa.ac.uk/public/dlg/guidelin.htm
I would, of course, be happy to reciprocate and share the results of
any deliberations arising from our working party.
I hope that this is an appropriate discussion list at which to pose
this question (I could find no archive discussions of the topic)
and would be grateful if anyone could also recommend any
alternative lists.
Many thanks.
