The Australian Disability Discrimination Act (1992) certainly covers
those who may be discriminated against on the basis of association with
a person with a disability (eg. carer) or because of assumed disability
status based on association with a person with a disability (eg.
assuming that someone must have the same condition if they are spending
time with someone with a disability, disease or disorder). It also
covers people who have had an item of their body removed or changed and
are discriminated against on account of this (eg. removal of leg,
hysterectomy, etc). It certainly covers the widest range of 'disability'
or assumed disability that i am aware about.
