Oh I see!! It does sound a tad pompous though, doesn't it? But on
reflection, senior house officer is another good example of hyperbole. I'm
pretty indiscriminate when it comes to cynicism, medics or non-medics are
equally fair targets, it's just that hyperbole is one of my pet hates. But
you're right about my training - it didn't extend much beyond the confines
of hospital, so you've educated me today about paramedics' job titles!
