Yeah, like people unfamiliar with the micro politics of intersex might
wonder whether I was trying to do a research project, or a feeble attempt at

I'm shocked that you cd think me capable of such a cop-out :-)!
Thanks for the thoughts - I was mainly trying to raise the issue as
something we all have to think about soon.
As the doco "Joella's Story" made clear : one of the main reasons Joella
was being pressured into surgery was because British Passports only have
room for M or F.
Since Joella was registered originally as M, and then became better suited
to and looked like F, and since this fact cd not legally be changed, it
seemed 'logical' to her doctors that the best recourse was to cut her to fit
the existing categories.
