Dear All,
I think that in the UK, some years ago, the Audit Commission set performance
indicators and targets for the numbers of disabled people Local Authorities
could reasonably be expected to be employing. I am searching urgently for :
* The document which set down these indicators and targets;
* Any subsequent reports which have been written analysing the degree to
which Local Authorities have addressed these;
* Any other recent quantitative research which estimates the numbers of
disabled people 'actively seeking work';
* (and/or) The numbers of disabled people currently employed across medium
and large sized businesses in the UK.
I would especially be interested in any information which may exist that
breaks down the demography of disabled employees by ethnicity, gender, age
etc. I have searched the websites http://www.audit-commission.gov.uk,
http://www.disabilitynet.co.uk,
http://cando.lancs.ac.uk/scripts/d/start.idc,
http://www.dsc.ucsf.edu/UCSF/spl.taf?_from=default all to no avail. If you
are aware of a www reference which may help me find the information I am
looking for, this would be especially useful, for reasons of speed and
accessibility
Your help would be much appreciated.
