RESEARCHER TO EVALUATE HEALTH INEQUALITIES
IMPLEMENTATION – (Job Ref #68)
Funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, this post provides an
exciting opportunity to appraise how far and how effectively government
policies have succeeded in implementing key recommendations of the
Acheson Report (Independent Inquiry into Inequalities in Health).
Applicants must have: a background in social policy, social science or
be
a non-medical epidemiologist with experience of policy evaluation; a
strong and evident interest in the social determinants of health; a PhD
or
Masters in a relevant discipline; excellent communication and
organisation
skills, and the ability to work effectively to deadlines and
unsupervised.
Knowledge and experience of the civil service would be extremely useful,
but is not essential.
