It's there and nicely looked after. It's quite attractive, with a stone
well head (I *think* restored in the 1970s - perhaps for the Jubilee - but
this is from memory so don't quote!!) and a mature tree by the side (memory
suggests an ash, but again I may be wrong). The village itself is also a
treasure and, off topic, contains a cross with an inscription to say that it
was restored to commemorate the Coronation of Edward VIII [sic!!!].
There are also small wells (Lady Pool may be the name of one, again from
memory) on the village green of the adjoining village of Melbourne (which
has a superb church and other buildings of interest).
The packhorse route leads to the long Swarkestone Bridge over the Trent
(more of a causeway than a true bridge) - a scheduled ancient monument that
is still a important crossing of the river.
Worth a visit to this area (and close to the M1 motorrway!)
