Sonia,
I hope that you will have a chance to explore the book titled Expertise in
Physical Therapy Practice by Jensen, Gwyer, Hack, and Shepard.(1999 published by
Butterworth-Heinemann. If you are limited in time, I recommend you to read
Chapter 9 and its references before completing your literature search.
It seems to me that the more experience of specific conditions may help expand
the therapist's knowledgebase and ability to relate to but if the therapist is
not able to use that knowledge properly to faciliate the treatment approaches,
the experience she/he had is not going make the therapist better than others who
never had certain experience.
