Twenty-Eighth National Postgraduate Colloquium
in German Studies
at the
University of Southampton (Avenue Campus)
on
Saturday, 28 October 2000
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Twenty-Eighth Postgraduate Colloquium will be held in Southampton on
Saturday, 28 October 2000, organised by Anja Peters, Marielle Sutherland and
Daniela Zimmermann. The committee now invites offers of papers connected
with research into any aspect of German studies (the Arts, Social Sciences,
History, Linguistics, etc.).
Contributors are free to choose whichever form of presentation they feel is
most suitable for the treatment of their subject matter. They will be
talking for an absolute maximum of thirty minutes, with a ten-minute
question period following each presentation. It would be useful if they
would bear in mind that they will be presenting their papers to an informal
audience of around twenty-five postgraduate students working in all areas of
German studies, the majority on literary subjects, but also in other fields
such as history, philosophy, business studies, the arts and linguistics. As
the Colloquium is directed at all postgraduate students researching in
German studies, contributors can assume a knowledge of German and German
culture but not a specialist knowledge of his or her own topic.
Offers of papers etc. can be made by filling in the form below and returning
it by 6 September 2000 to:
