I think the point I was trying to make was that it matters to some people
like Welcome, and that if that it where your ambitions lie it is useful to
know what values such organisations attribute to each type of degree. As far
as I am personally concerned it makes no difference at all, it is the
quality of the work that counts.
Sadly, we all work in a field where the rules and the values are set by
other people.
