The blame culture thing was what in other jobs would be regarded
as the other part of a 'macho' culture i.e. it's not ok to admit your
wrong 'cos a) you'll lose face and b) you'll get in trouble - so people
charge on blindly

my comment is related to my experience here whether it's just a
student nurse thing ?

Most of the senior medical staff I have met have had a good
attitude toward students of all disciplines and are prepared to either
answer or use as a learning experience 'stupid questions'

Absolutely - Sack the lot of 'em and make them reapply along with
clinical nurses in more senior roles for 'lecturer / practitioner' posts
or medical style lecturerships which include a clinical
commitmment.
aonther moan ( and probably straying off topic for this list) - nurse
education also wants loads of special cases - examples being
We have special rules over outside employment (carried over from
when student nurses were HA employees, and comprhesively
broken),
Accrediting Prior Learning ( we'll accredit your outside learning but
we won't allow you to use your learning in the course as evidence
for other things)
