Wendy asked:

This brings up a question that the more experienced of you may be able to
help answer. Are good presses generally chary of translations of modern
scholarly texts by less-than-sexy authors? Or are there just not many
people who want to spend their time translating such texts? I'm toying
with doing a translation and am just beginning to explore the feasibility
of it. There are some really important texts by authors who don't have
quite the stature of a Duby or a Vauchez--which doesn't make them worse
historians.
Any advice?
