'Museums, Libraries and Archives for all in the 21st Century'
Matthew Evans was appointed Chair of Re:source (The Council for
Museums, Archives and Libraries) in August 1999. He joined Faber and
Faber in 1964, and became Managing Director in 1972. He is now
Chairman. Matthew Evans was formerly the Vice-Chair of the British
Film Institute and was made a peer on 31 March 2000.
Re:source, which replaces both the Libraries and Information
Commission and the Museums and Galleries Commission, is committed to
the support of museums, archives and libraries and those who use them.
The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception and private view of
'Chapter & Verse: 1000 years of English Literature' in the Pearson
Gallery.
