Dear Colleagues,
I am trying to find any articles or books or indeed any source of
information on the influence on therapists of the therapy that they are
using with their clients. In other words, as the therapist uses a particular
therapy model or approach to brining about changes in their clients, does
that therapy, or the therapeutic relationship, have any direct, indirect,
noticed or unnoticed effects on the therapist? Do therapists sometimes look
round after some work with a client and suddenly realise that it has somehow
been affecting them as well? Does therapy vicariously affect therapists?
Does personal therapy, especially if unlooked affect therapists' practices?
Any help, guidance or whatever would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot
Norman
