Thanks, but I long ago tried normal sources like these: in vain. This
was a privately distributed reprint, recall -- even though it
apparently contained priceless data.

I'd like ask for help in locating a partially lost study by the
well-known Poliziano scholar, Juliana Hill (nee Cotton). Works by her
are sometimes indexed under "Hill" and sometimes under "Cotton."
In 1954 Hill/Cotton published an article entitled "Death and Politian"
in the (now defunct) _Durham University Journal_, N.S., Vol. XV, No. 3
(June 1954), pp. 96-105. Note #80 in the article refers to four much
longer appendices that were left out "for lack of space." The omitted
appendices concern unusual circumstances involved in the deaths in
late 1494 of Angelo Poliziano, Giovanni Pico, and others.
Hill/Cotton adds enticingly at the end that "These four appendices
will be included in the separate reprints of this article, available
on request." Apparently a number of reprints were sent out, since I've
seen occasional references to the appendices in studies written in the
60s and 70s. Presumably, copies of her reprint (with the appendices)
still exist in private hands or are catalogued as a separate work
under "Hill" or "Cotton" in some Renaissance research library. I've
searched the library catalogs of all the universities where I know
that Hill/Cotton taught, but in vain.
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this elusive reprint? If
so, could he or she please drop me an email? If I track it down, I'll
of course be happy to share it with anyone pursuing similar lines of
research.
