"3D Interpretative Modelling of Archaeological Sites | A Computer
Reconstruction of a Medieval Timber and Earthwork Castle",
an article by Jeremy Huggett and Chen Guo-Yuan, has just opened issue 8 of
Internet Archaeology
http://intarch.ac.uk/journal/issue8/huggett_index.html
Exploring various aspects of three-dimensional reconstruction modelling,
the authors take stock from an archaeological rather than a purely
technological perspective. A fully functioning VRML model is also
published as part of this article. The experimental presentation of this
article is also of note, turning a fairly traditional 'linear' article (or
more precisely two articles) into a more dynamic document that responds to
the reader's chosen pathway.
This is the first article in a series to be published within issue 8
addressing some of the current issues concerning visualisation and
representation in archaeology.

Onto visualisation of another kind, Issue 8 also carries a review by
Marcus Banks of the Yanomamo Interactive CD-Rom, the focus of which is a
complete digitization of the 1974 ethnographic film 'The Ax Fight'.
