Tim,
Relax, the guy is asking for help, not a PhD research dissertation.

Iain,
are you serious? It's obvious to me that you have done no research on
this
topic at all. How about going to the library and reading up a little, or
browse
sites on the internet for a little information regarding this topic (only
about
a billion publications in this area), I am not here to write your assignment
for
you and neither is anyone else. Once you have an idea of what you want to
do
come back and ask a slightly more specific question. I'll be very happy to
help
you with any questions as I have an interest in the field, but I'm not going
to
do all the work for you. Try starting with what type of athlete you want to
use! Do you think the dietary requirements of a young gymnast are the same
as
for a weightlifter or an endurance runner? Pre-competition,
post-competition or
pre-season? Male or female? Supplements? Once you have done some research
into this area I think you'll realise just how stupid that question is!
As for me, I am beginning to query the study habits that are being taught at
some of the institutions around the world!
Tim.
