Dear Listmembers
I have just visited a seminar on Movement Science led by drs R Shepherd and J Carr. It was mentioned that trunk muscles are bilaterally innervated and not a problem regarding weakness after stroke. The pectoralis too is bilaterally innervated which explains the problem sometimes experienced with early inward rotation and adduction of the shoulder. Innervation to the limbs however is unilateral and therefor of a lesser quality. Can anyone tell me - which of the muscles that connect the trunk with the limbs are bilaterally innervated?
