LITC are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our research team.
LITC, the digital library technology centre is a self funding section of
Learning and Information Services, South Bank University, London. We are
actively engaged in a number of JISC and EC funded research projects and
we publish Library Technology and Vine, and other titles for the library

The postholder will work principally on a new JISC funded project
developing a web-based Authenticated Networked Guided Environment for
Learning integrating learner, teacher and administrator access across
Hybrid Library and Directed Learning information resources. This work
will include desk research, writing reports, maintaining Web pages,
giving presentations and liaison with other institutions.
They will also be expected to contribute to LITC publications and the
general research of the unit, and help to identify areas for future
research.
Applicants should have:
1. A degree or higher degree in an appropriate area;
2. A knowledge of research techniques or a willingness to learn;
3. Excellent written skills, especially for reports;
4. Good all round communication skills;
5. A knowledge of and demonstrable interest in IT, the Web and network
systems generally;
6. A flexible, adaptable approach to work, with the ability to priortize
their own work load and deliver to deadlines, while working within a
team;
7. Some knowledge of HTML and Web publishing is also desirable.
