I guess my question would be, why should you be given preferential
treatment, just because you are disabled? What would have peoples reactions
been had he also killed or disabled a bystander why in his high speed chase.
Being a person with a disability should give you the same rights and
responsibilities as other people w/o disabilities. If that means serving
the same 10 year sentence for armed robbery......so be it.
NOW, the prison had damned better be ADA compliant and that I have access to
the same services that other inmates have. Unlike inmates with disabilities
here in California. Here we make paralyzed inmates crawl up stairs to their
parole hearing and shackle the hands of deaf inmates who sign. Thats why
Calif. is not in compliance
