Hi
I am making an exception to normal list rules, to warn of a serious
virus threat that is going around today.
This applies to people using Microsoft Windows and particularly
Outlook.
Do not to open an email attachment called "loveletter" or similar. It
has totally destroyed a number of company systems already in the
UK this morning and is spreading.
Of course, none of you would open an e-mail attachment without
checking it first :-)
Basically, the file sends emails to everyone in your address book,
writes to the registry, won't let you close outlook down and attempts
to get your machine to downlaod large files from the internet. It also
migrates to Network drives.
Be warned, but don't panic. Please don't reply to this list.
Best Wishes
