You might be interested in the latest edition of the journal
Revolutionary History. Based on my doctoral thesis completed last
year and entitled 'Dissident Cuban Communism: The Case of
Trotskyism, 1932-65', the book mostly details the rise and fall of
what at one stage was probably the largest Left Opposition group
outside the USSR. In particular, it looks at the constant
contradiction between the Cuban Oppositionists' commitment to
the concept of Permanent Revolution and their adaptation to
bourgeois nationalist currents.
