The original price of the Patrologia Latina Database was $60.000, but it has
dropped somewhat. I think our library paid $50.000 some five years ago.
Makes only sense for research libraries.
Be careful with all these CD-ROMs. Usually they have old editions and
translations (no copyright), so not the best material for good research.
The Thomas Aquinas CD-ROM for $50 has the old translation of the Dominican
Fathers (beginning 20th century) and not the commonly used Blackfriars
translation (no Latin text, but it contains also the translation of the
Catena Aurea, some hymns and the RSV:
http://harmonymediainc.com/products.htm ). An alternative might be Busa's
CD-ROM. It has all of Aquinas's works in Latin (most from the Leonine
edition; no translations) and a (very, very primitive) search programme.
Prices vary: according to Robert Pasnau it costs a mere $328, at the Fall
'99 exchange rate, from Frommann-Holzboog. Intelex charges $645
(http://www.nlx.com/titles/titlaqui.htm?). You may also order it through
Busa himself (600.000 It. Lir. , but possibly a discount for individuals):

The Albert the Great CD-ROM has the 1641 Lyon edition of Albert's works (see
John Inglis's message), not the late 19th century Borgnet-edition, let alone
the text-critical Cologne-edition.
