Didn't you know?...People in wheelchairs are self-combustable. Fist sign
of panic and *poof* they explode into flames!
Actually, I have not heard of this exact case but I have heard this excuse
being used as a grounds for disciminatory access to a nightclub. I
believe it is based on the idea that they will block the passageway.
The argument holds no ground at all. A wheelchair is easier to push than
a drunk, panicking able-bod. It would be important to note though,
whether places do have fire exits that can be used by wheelchair users.
That would be typical to provide wheelchair access but no wheelchair fire
exit.
