NEWLY REDESIGNED SOUTH ASIA WEBSITE!!
The South Asia site at the Global Reproductive Health Forum --
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/grhf/SAsia/ --has undergone a massive
restructuring and is now open for everyone's viewing. This website
seeks to bring together discourses on reproductive health and women's
rights that are of particular interest and concern in the South Asian
region.
NEW SECTIONS!
One of the major changes includes a new section called "forums" or
modules developed by the Center for Women and Development Studies
(CWDS), based in New Delhi. CWDS has created detailed modules on topics
such as dowry, domestic violence, female infanticide, and violence
against women. Modules include research articles, statistics, and
bibliographies on those issues, as well as lists of organizations
working on those areas. Other modules will be added soon and will
include work conducted with SNDT Women's University Library, as well.
The website also contains a new resources section with in-depth
information on organizations in South Asia, films and documentaries,
statistics, and bibliographies.
Additionally, CWDS is the new moderator for the electronic discussion
list 'BOL!'. This list covers a large range of topics, such as current
events, conferences, research projects, judicial decisions, fellowships,
and many more issues related to women's rights in South Asia.
OTHER SECTIONS!
We also have an electronic library which aims at disseminating the works
of regional scholars, academics, and activists by electronically
publishing the collections and works from SNDT University Library. This
huge selection of articles can be found in the 'Library ' section of the
website and is updated monthly.
Finally, our e-journal, 're/productions', concentrates on issues within
South Asia dealing with gender, public policy, the medical state, and
reproductive health and rights.
