Being vilified is a sign that you are pushing the right buttons Tom! I am a
Post Grad Student at Swansea and I've been studying your work in the area of
Sexuality and am thinking of writing my dissertation in this area too. I
based much of a recent essay on your work which I found inspirational. I
think the work you have done regarding sexuality and disability could be
described as ground breaking and lays the foundation for future work in
changing attitudes, improving the lives of disabled people and changing
power dynamics. As I'm relatively new to disability studies, I'm not so
familiar with your other work, so I too would be grateful for any articles
you may be sending out.
Many academics are, in my opinion, guilty of being irrelevant - that is
something that can't be said about your work. I believe the disability
community needs people who actually feel passionate about their subject and
want to change people's lives. It is clear from your work that you fit into
that category.
All the best,
Adam Greenow
