Intelligent Systems in the Knowledge-Driven Economy (ISKDE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
+++ PROGRAMME & FINAL CALL FOR PARTICIPATION +++
A Workshop Organised by SGES, the BCS Specialist Group on
Knowledge Based Systems and Applied Artificial Intelligence
May 8, 2000
Foresight Centre, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK
WORKSHOP CONTEXT
As we move into the 21st Century, it is fashionable to talk about a
Knowledge-Driven Economy, in which businesses and other organisations
exploit information and communications technology to maximise their
capability and competitiveness. Knowledge Management systems allow
organisations to harness their tangible and intangible knowledge
assets; Electronic Commerce systems connect customers to vendors;
Customer Relationship Management systems foster alliances among partner
organisations.
There is enormous potential for the use of Intelligent Systems
technology in all these aspects of a knowledge-driven economy. The
goals of this workshop are to promote discussion, review progress,
and identify opportunities.
