APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING
Dear Construction Professional,
<<<Invitation to The first seminar on Innovation in Construction
orgnanised by the Southern Construction Creativity Club>>>
The Network of Construction Creativity Clubs (NCCC) consists of four
joined-up regionally based Construction Creativity Clubs (CCCs). The
network aim is to foster a more innovative construction sector, by
developing methods by which data on the largely undocumented research
activity and innovative practice of small and medium sized enterprises
(SMEs), may be shared by the wider industry. The Association of
Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM) has established the
network with the support of the Engineering and Physical Sciences
Research Council, who have awarded the project a research grant for 12
months. The Regional CCCs will be holding a series of seminar events
during 2000, which will showcase construction industry innovations by
small and medium sized enterprises and larger companies. The NCCC
website (www.ce.strath.ac.uk/nccc) will document all the innovations
showcased from across the UK, to form a durable and accessible resource
for the construction industry.
Innovations are identified and showcased during a series of six seminars
planned over the next 12 months. Our first seminar organised by the
Southern CCC is scheduled for 7th April 2000 from 2 pm to 5.30 pm at
South Bank University. There shall be three short presentations followed
by workshops in three parallel sessions, leading to the identification
of three areas of innovation. Your participation as a contributor and/or
beneficiary of these events will be very much valued. To this end,
kindly return/fax/email the attached booking form.
Also, attached you will find a short questionnaire. Please provide the
information, as they will assist us to better plan the meetings by
focusing on common areas of interest and where your organisation can
offer innovative practices.
If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact me
on 0171 815 7344.
I look forward to hearing from you hope to see you at our first meeting.
Kind regards,
Mahtab Farshchi (Ms.)
