A good place to start would be the American College of Sports Medicine
Position stand on 'Exercise and Fluid Replacement'. The full text article is
available from the 'Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise' website:
http://www.ms-se.com/ ...select 'Position Stands' from the menu, and scroll
down to find it under January 1, 1996. There will, of course, have been more
research on the topic since then, but this is a very comprehensive review
article, and as such the references will provide another list to utilise in
your search for information.
