All,
I tried sending this question to the 18th-century list but didn't get a response. So I'd
like to know if any of you can answer. I've been working on an edition of John Tatham's
1660 play entitled _The Rump_ in which he attacks Cromwell and everybody involved with
the Rump Parliament. I've been able to identify most people except for a couple--one a
Scot.
Do any of you know who the President of the Committee of Safety was? Was it
Archibald Johnson, Lord Wareston? Do you know anything about him? And do you know who the
Speaker of the Rump was??
I'd appreciate any help.
