There is an interesting article on plantar fascia which i've begun to work with titled "give plantar fascia the boot" written by Owen Anderson and Walt Reynolds and can be found in a journal called Sports Injuries which is edited by the editors of peak performance.
There some new approaches to exercises and rationale as to their application.

I've read the last few messages which all suggest taping is for short term
relief only. I am interesting in long term benefit for this condition and
have recently heard (via the BMJ if I remember correctly) that physiotherapy
interventions such as intrinsic muscle exercises are of no long term benefit
and orthotics are the treatment of choice. I do not know how substantiated
this claim is but would be interested in any comments in support or against
it, with references if possible. Thanks.
