Actually, this may count as a borderline Christian/non-Christian entry, as
it references a somewhat shortlived New Spain heresey regarding a possible
apocryphal visit, to pre-Columbian Mexico, by one of the Apostles (Mexico,
bless her, has everything).
St. Thomas, it's averred - 'though there's doubt -,
left Palestine to wander far about.
In Aztlan did he dawdle
(nom de plume: Quetzalcoatl)
to prepare for los Conquistadores' rout.
An alternative version could substitute (nom de guerre: Quetzalcoatl), but
since Quetzalcoatl is the feathered serpent, I rather preferred "plume"; and
of course "rout" could be "route", if you delete the word "for".
