Having joined this list a few days ago, I have had nothing but spam complaints since. Here is an attempt to redress the balance and move the discussion on. I am a local government officer in the education dept. of an LEA. I am responsible for co-ordinating content for our schools Intranet. I am also involved in a consortium of LEAs charged with delivering broadband Internet access to schools in the region (south west)UK. We are aware of the need to deliver resources that are easily findable, linked to the National Curriculum, and categorised in flexible ways. The government has set up a working party under the QCA to look at metadata issues and an enhanced version of Dublin Core looks favourite to meet the needs of education. I have been trawling through various web pages and have found sites such as UKOLN and EDNA. My question finally is are there any other sites / projects / working groups looking at Metadata standards related to compulsory education that I should be looking at?
Yours in anticipation of spam-free responses.
