A reminder that, despite criticism, the journal Antipode continues to
discriminate in favour of the Anglo-American academic community.
The current editorial structure (editors and editorial board)
http://www.blackwellpublishers.co.uk/journals/anti/editor.htm
includes 26 people. Of these 17 are affiliated to USA universities, 5 to UK
universiites, Only 2 are from non-anglophone universities.
Within 'critical/radical geography', there is a clear link between such
deliberate exclusion policies, and the dominance of the liberal-democratic
political ethic. Unwilling to consider any political values other than those
of democracy, and unwilling to use any other language but English, critical
and radical geography are not in a position to present a view of the world,
different from the anglophone academic mainstream.
