Probably not what you have in mind, but it may be of interest that there
is a burial of an Armenian bishop identified by a badly preserved lead
tablet in Passau (Bavaria). It is in the nunnery of Niedernburg close to
the cathedral and not in the cathedral itself, it dates from the 11th c.
and there are no regalia, only a pectoral cross. Apart of the excavation
report (1981) there is a paper on the matter by Lothar Kolmer in a local
periodical named Ostbairische Grenzmarken 28 (1986) pp 11-21 (hardly at
hand in Charleston, I suppose).Yours, h.w.
