There are 76 references to Jews in Acts, and the worst I see is that forty
Jews met together and decided to kill Paul (23.12-13). To conclude from this
that the Jewish community was persecuting the Christian community clearly is
an extraordinary feat of interpretation. Hate mongers sometimes point to the
Bible and claim it supports their views. They get away with this ridiculous
nonsense because so many people never read the Bible at all and just swallow
whatever they're told about it.
