My recollections are hazy but I think it is today that Mark Dyball leaves
the Office of Science and Technology and Suzanne King leaves the Wellcome
Trust. They are venturing into private PUSish practice.
Meanwhile, I am sure we would all like to thank them for their contributions
to PUS to date. Suzanne has been behind many of the innovative projects at
the Wellcome Trust within its Medicine in Society programme. Mark has handed
out the dosh from OST. I remember with particular fondness, Mark's first
appearances at the BA and Building Bridges a few years ago. Stiff, suited,
nervous, very much the civil servant, here there to be his master's voice.
What a change now! Now he smiles, rolls up his sleeves, does zany stuff, and
drinks beer in the public understanding bunker with the rest of us.
Perhaps they might tell us a little about what they are planning.
Andy
