Apologies for any cross-posting or if you have already received this
information by post!

To all Psci-comers:

Reminder:
As you will know, this year's COPUS FORUM: BUILDING BRIDGES TO SCIENCE takes
place on 14-15 APRIL 2000 at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George
Street, EH2 2PQ.

Given the amount of discussion on the list over the past week about the
House of Lords Report and OST/WT Survey, why not come and have a live debate
about these issues, rather than a virtual one? Lord Jenkin of Roding (Chair
of the Select Committee Inquiry) has now agreed to present the opening
Session on Friday 14 April, followed by a chance to discuss the implications
for science and science communication with a panel and other delegates.
Suzanne King and Mark Dyball will also be revealing more from their OST/WT
survey into public attitudes to and perceptions of Science, Engineering and
Technology in the future.

Delegate Registrations are still open: 90.00 for BA members or 110.00
for non-members (including one year's membership of the BA) - this includes
conference papers, lunch on both days and other refreshments, as well as an
evening reception on Friday 14 April at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh,
where you will have a taste of the Edinburgh International Science Festival
interactive exhibits.

You can now register via the BA Website (see www.britassoc.org.uk) or by
completing the form below and returning by email or post.

Any enquiries to: Fiona Watt, Special Projects Officer, The British
Association (see details below)
