The Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida invites
applications for a position in theoretical chemistry at the
Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will become
a member of the Quantum Theory Project (www.qtp.ufl.edu), and
will participate fully in the interdisciplinary programs of this
group. We seek a person who has demonstrated the ability to create
new theory, to implement it successfully, and to apply it to
chemically important problems. While preference will be given to
candidates in electronic structure theory, outstanding candidates
in all areas of theoretical chemistry will be considered. Strong
candidates will have an excellent record of research support and
a proven ability to interact effectively with experimental chemists.
